Scope and Deliverables
febc was contracted for the Procurement Management Consultancy of OS&E. The team thoroughly checked in detail the specification packages and interior design drawings issued by Msheireb. Soon after febc engaged suppliers and manufacturers from all over the world to obtain the best possible quality and savings for the client.
The project was delayed by 2 years however the hotel procurement was completed 12 months before the new opening date. Due to blockade by UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain it was extremely challenging handling the goods to be shipped. Several deliveries were routed via Oman. In addition, due to delays in construction, febc successfully negotiated with vendors to store the goods in their warehouse thus saving substantial costs for the Client.
The febc team worked exceptionally hard to deliver and meet the client’s goals. With its extensive network of suppliers and expansive knowledge in hotel procurement, febc managed to substantially reduce the OS&E budget.
All the goods are successfully delivered to an offsite storage building and are in process of been delivered to the hotel. The client had this to say: “febc has been engaged by Msheireb properties for all the OS&E procurement requirements for the Mandarin Oriental Doha. We are happy to confirm that febc has handled the complex organisational structure in a very professional manner and have represented the brand values of Mandarin Oriental, Doha in a very satisfactory manner.”
