02 Sep Michael Ellis joins febc group as president of F&B and culinary experiences
Jumeirah’s former chief culinary officer Michael Ellis has moved to febc Group as its president of F&B and culinary experiences.
Ellis’ departure from Jumeirah was announced in February this year. At the time he told us he had “accepted an offer to join a culinary-focused digital start-up.”
He has now partnered with febc Group, a hospitality project management company founded in 1989.
Ellis steps into the role following a company-wide relaunch of the group this year. The company is now a “multimodal hospitality solutions company,” with knowledge of pre-opening activities, procurement, supply chain management, turnkey supply, and F&B which Ellis will head up.
febc Group’s plans for the future
This new F&B division focuses on both concept creation and implementation, both things the former Jumeirah F&B head is well-versed in. Ellis will lead the new F&B concept division, conceptualising the latest trends, culinary styles, innovations in design and best practices.
